Wrangling kids and staying sane has taken on a whole new meaning as families around the world move into lockdown.  As schools close and families are forced to stay home, parents are searching for great online learning activities for kids. Audioplay is helping families out in this difficult time, making all released episodes free to download until the 30 April.

Audioplay is an exciting new technology that celebrates the best of old school creative play. Kids put on headphones, step into the story and become the characters, physically playing out the action. With Audioplay blanket forts and cushion rafts become the centre of epic adventures, that put kids at the heart of the story.

“Audioplay offers a great screen free alternative for families in lockdown” said CEO Gemma Pepper “the experiences are really active, getting kids up and moving whilst stretching their imaginations, all from the safety of your living room.”

The experiences are designed for two players, playing in the same room. So it’s great for siblings or for parents to play with their kids. As well as being physically active, Audioplay experiences encourage creativity, teamwork and develop a sense of empathy as kids can experience the stories from different characters points of view.

Above all else, Audioplay is FUN!  It’s a joy filled experience grounded in old school imaginative play. “My kids are mad for this and can’t wait for more episodes!” said Stephen Henderson, father of two.

As Australian winner and global finalist of the Creative Business Cup 2019, the Audioplay platform has been developed with support from leading institutions including the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) and Sound Hub Denmark.

Audioplay has made all released episodes of The Turners free to download until the 30 April. Audioplay is available through the App Store. Further episodes are planned for release soon.
